Statement from confirmed treasurer

Dr. Victor M. Ramírez Ladrón de Guevara’s Personal Statement

My first official involvement with SCUDD was in 2007 when I was asked to give a presentation at the SCUDD conference in Derry about my experience as an Early Career Lecturer. Since then, I have acted as the SCUDD representative for Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Plymouth. In April 2010 I was asked to step in as SCUDD’s Acting Treasurer.

From the beginning of my academic career, I have been convinced that SCUDD plays a pivotal role in the understanding, practice and development of drama as a discipline in the United Kingdom. As such, I am interested in being an active part of this process. In my role as a treasurer, I will aim to support an organisation that, I believe, may help us to find adequate solutions for the series of complex and significant challenges that we face at the moment.
